Matthew 8:25 Then His disciples came to Him and awoke Him, saying, “Lord, save us! We are perishing!”
While in the midst of the storm, Jesus resting in the presence of the disciples should have been an indicator as to “how much” attention He gave to the storm.
While the storm raged, Jesus napped!
This should have promoted prayer, but because they reacted with the flesh and not by faith, they panicked!
Jesus reminds us to “be strong in the Lord and in the Power of His Might! Put on all of God’s armor so that you will be able to stand firm against all strategies of the devil. For we are not fighting against flesh and blood enemies.
When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire you will not be burned, the flames will not set you ablaze.
So, beloved, do not think it strange concerning the fiery trial, which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened to you. No weapon formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue which rises against you in judgment You shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is from Me,” says the Lord.
Therefore, put on every piece of God’s armor so you will be able to resist the enemy in the time of evil. Then after the battle you will still be standing firm in Jesus’ name.
Until Next Time, Read the Word to Know Him!
