I am Saved, Now What?

For some of us, when we accept Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior, we really don’t know what the next steps are and most often even where to begin.

I would encourage us all to start at the beginning. For immediate transport to the New Testament and Salvation I would say start at the Book of John (NT), but if you want to know where it all began before the foundations of the earth, begin at Genesis and allow the Holy Spirit to carry you through with great expectation.

Today, I want to jump right into it and share with you the Word of God that I pray will begin to mold, shape, lead and guide you spiritually and for the remainder of your time in this world.

So, we know that your salvation began when you confessed Christ Jesus, as we are instructed to do in the book of Romans 10:9 ~ “and if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead you will be saved.

v. 13 ~ for whomever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved!

2 Corinthians 5:17 ~ Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold all things have become new.

Let us be encouraged that the changing of the mind is an intentional process, (Romans 12:2) and can be carefully done with this peace of mind in remaining close to the Lord and allowing Him to lead us through His spirit and Word, out of ourselves, and into the newness of Christ.

Ephesians 3:12-14 ~ (We) press on, that (we) may lay hold of that for which Christ Jesus has also laid hold of (us.) Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended; but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead, I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.

Let us be built up in the truth of what draws us to the Lord, by the blood of Jesus and our faith in Jesus; know this (Hebrews 11:6) that without faith it is impossible to please God.

(Matthew 17:20) ~ For assuredly I say to you if you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, move from here to there and it will move, and nothing will be impossible for you.

(2 Cor 5:17) - For we now walk by faith, and not by sight – (Matthew 6:33) But seek first the Kingdom of heaven and its righteousness and all these things will be added to you. Give God glory. Thank Him daily for specific reasons for your gratitude, honor Him in His provision. Pray for the Lord to reveal His plans and purpose for your life, master the gift and share it. Ask the Lord to forgive your sins that you have committed against Him and ask for a heart to forgive others you cannot or have not forgiven.

Ask the Lord to hide your life in Christ Jesus and order your steps daily in Jesus’ name. Amen.
