Come, it's Time to Cross Over!

To view this video bible study click the link below:

If you reviewed last weeks bible study, we were getting into “I am Saved, Now What?”, this week I wanna dive right into sharing something important and will benefit you as you continue to walk out your faith.

I imagine for the new believer that the streets down here now are paved in gold spiritually since you’ve come to Christ.  That to me is beautiful imagery.  I believe God is such a gentle, tender and loving Father, that He guides us smoothly into walking in our faith once we have confessed Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior. I imagine that as we take time to meet with the Lord, learning how to bow in His presence, pray, read the Word and begin to serve at a local church, again it seems the road is paved with awe and wonder of who God says He is.

Then……

Not so far off in the distance, it seems as though the sun is pulling itself behind the clouds. We can sense that the spiritual high we have been on with the Holy spirit has shifted. We can hear it a bit, something is coming. We can sense a bit of turbulence and then before we know it, life is upon us, the testing by the storm has come to speak to our faith and it requires an answer.

How we respond to the storm and during the storm is the key!

It’s time to Crossover!

Beloved, do not think it strange concerning the fiery trial, which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened to you; but rejoice to the extent that you partake of Christ’s sufferings, that when His glory is revealed, you may also be glad with exceeding joy.

Let us not be afraid, for by confession we must know that now a war has been waged for our soul. Again, be not afraid nor dismayed for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go! (Joshua 1:9)

It’s time to walk out and work out our sinful lives, that we be made righteous for God’s glory. (Phil 2:12, 1 John 1:7-9)

I believe during the times and testing of our faith; it is opportunity knocking on our souls, calling us out every single day from our past into the future that God has planned for us in Jesus’ name.

As we once were so skilled and masterful at sinful living, (Eph 2:4-7) now let us move toward the upward call (Phil 3:14) and show ourselves approved in spiritual matters. Let us be sober in this, that our spirit is willing, but our flesh is weak (Matt 26:41)

So, let us be careful again; to seek first the Kingdom of heaven and its righteousness and everything will be added to us. (Matt 6:33)

Let us be anxious for nothing but with thanksgiving and praise, bring our supplications and petitions before the Lord. (Phil 4:6-8

Do you lack wisdom for this part of your walk by faith?

Ask the Lord for wisdom, He will give it to you without reproach (James 1:5) Be encouraged that Jesus too was tempted, but He never sinned. Know that He can sympathize with what our flesh wants to do, yet, we are still encouraged to fully learn and understand the power we now have in His name to follow the instruction of the Holy Spirit.

We don’t have to succumb to the wiles of the flesh.

I pray that as we understand who our Great Defender is; that we will therefore come boldly to His throne of grace that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need. (Hebrew 4:16)

Be encouraged you are not alone; the Lord loved us to death and still He loves, seriously!

Nothing can separate us from His love. The Lord is the One who instructs His children spiritually in the way they should go, so when they are old (Proverbs 22:6), they will not depart from it.

Come, it’s time to Crossover from the miry clay to being seated in heavenly places with the Lord in Jesus matchless name. Amen.

Until next time Beloved, Read the Word to Know Him!
