Genesis 1:27
James 1:23-25: For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man observing his natural face in a mirror; for he observes himself, goes away, and immediately forgets what kind of man he was. But he who looks into the perfect law of liberty and continues in it and is not a forgetful hearer but a doer of the work, this one will be blessed in what he does.
In 2015, during a separation of marriage, which eventually ended in divorce, I became depressed. During this turbulent time, my faith did not wither. I found much comfort in worship, meeting with the Lord daily and developed the practice of writing scripture on the mirrors in my home. This was purposeful and encouraged me during that trial.
It was important that the Word of God remain before my eyes and not the storm I was in for the remainder of 8 seasons.
In 2018, while fasting with my local church in Atlanta, GA, the Lord spoke again another Word about Mirrors and Him! As I made my way that evening after work to church, we had a Prophet visiting and he came down from the pulpit as He was speaking and approached a man seated who had to be past 6 feet tall.
He spoke to the soul of this man and what He spoke was beautiful. He began to share that he no longer had to be ashamed, that He is loved and when He looks in the mirror, its what God wants him to tell himself, that He is loved! The prophet began to ask if anyone had a mirror. I was the only one in that immediate area that had a compact mirror in my purse and as I handed off the mirror to the Prophet to hand to the gentle giant that received it, I watched as the man began to declare and recite what the Prophet told him to speak over himself, and as that man repeated the words looking into the mirror, the Lord told me ….”there is your ministry!”
I had always thought at some point, I was going to design mirrors (lol), not!
As the Lord continued working in my life, and working on my character, the gifts and talents He had given me and as I sought Him in worship and praise, there was much clarity gained as to what the vision was for Mirror Me.
I have been called to encourage, edify and lift up by sharing the Word of God. I am called to assist in helping us grow in the truth of who Jesus is, why we have been chosen and what are the benefits of having an Eternal Father in Heaven who desires that His will take hold in every capacity of our lives.
Mirror Me is an opportunity to draw closer to the Creator, and Redeemer and see yourself through His heart, His sacrifice and His forgiveness of our sins.
I hope you will join me here and take part of writing the Word of God on the Mirror of your heart, and allowing that Word to permeate into your life, which in turn will begin to mold and shape who God has created you and called you to be under the Blood of Jesus Christ, for His glory, His Kingdom call and Name sake.
Amen.
